Alastair Paterson & David Cameron showcase UK Expertise to USA Homeland Security

Digital Shadows’ CEO Alastair Paterson joins David Cameron on a mission to Washington DC.

Alastair Paterson (pictured above, with the PrimeMinister) joins Mr. Cameron and 11 other cyber-security experts from the UK on a UKTI trade mission to demonstrate the UK’s world-leading expertise in the cyber-security sector. As part of the trip, the companies will meet with the USA’s Department of Homeland Security.

Prime Minister David Cameron, who is leading the delegation, spoke excitedly about Digital Shadows:

“The UK is already leading the way in cyber security and this government is committed to ensuring it continues to be a leader in this multi-billion dollar industry.

“That’s why on this trip I’m supporting small businesses like Digital Shadows, a London-based company already fending off US competitors to win business in the States who are expanding to San Francisco and New York to build on their success.”

Alastair Paterson and the Digital Shadows team took the opportunity to announce their intentions of moving to the USA. Alastair will lead the USA operations, whilst cofounder James Chappell will remain based on Level39’s High Growth Space: 42 and head up the UK business.

Digital Shadows have been a Level39 member since we launched in March 2013, and were the first business to move up to our first High Growth Space in September 2013.
