Apply Now: EY StartUp Challenge
8th September 2014

EY’s first ever Startup Challenge, which will focus on data protection and the challenges presented by ‘the right to be forgotten’, is to be hosted here at Level39.
Companies can apply here.
EY are working with Pivotal Innovations to craft the six week challenge, which will commence on November 3rd. Six companies will be invited to compete following the application stage, and will help EY clients tackle issues including data capture, data processing and data erasure.
The subject matter of this challenge is particularly timely as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is seeking to unify data protection regulation.
The startups selected will receive mentoring from EY, its major clients and other leading industry professionals. They will also have the opportunity to showcase their technologies to influential stakeholders. The ‘Right to be Forgotten’ will increase consumers’ awareness of their rights to their own data and will mean that businesses will need to consider issues around reputation management, consumer trust, compliance, operational efficiency and ultimately growth.
EY will select six startups for the Challenge, who will each receive:
- Unprecedented access to EY clients and new potential customers;
- Mentoring and guidance from senior leaders within EY and its client base;
- A curriculum of master-class sessions;
- Access to EY’s wider business, including advisory, tax, accounting and corporate finance, as well as access to EY’s entrepreneurial networks;
For the winning startup, there is also the opportunity of a secondment of an experienced EY professional for ongoing, hands-on expertise at the end of the programme.
You will be able to follow the action at #EYStartup on twitter.
