CSIT cyber security research centre joins Level39
2nd March 2017

We’re delighted to announce the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) has joined Level39.
The Institute of Electronics, Communications and IT (ECIT) was chosen in 2008 to be one of the seven Innovation and Knowledge Centres. Through CSIT, and support from Invest Northern Ireland, the team are pioneering world-class research and venture creation in cyber security.
Based at the Northern Ireland Science Park, the team has taken a membership at Level39 so we will be seeing more of them – focusing on the pressing security issues of the financial services budget holders based at Canary Wharf.
Ben Brabyn, Head of Level39 said: “Our collaboration with CSIT will form a new strategic component in our offering for ambitious cyber security firms. At Level39 we currently host the largest cluster of cybersecurity technology companies in the UK – approximately 20 small, fast-growing businesses operating in threat assessment, monitoring and removal.”
“This new alliance with CSIT complements our existing strength in this sector, and will open up new opportunities for Level39 members to access CSIT’s expert facilities, in addition to enabling greater knowledge-share between participants in CSIT Labs and Level39 members.”
