Business Opportunities For Green Energy Entrepreneurs: Innovating to Zero by Aysilu Alettin

By 2027 clean energy technologies will have become cheaper than running existing gas and coal generators all over the world. Bioenergy produced from locally available biomass can provide a uniquely sustainable solution as eco-friendly technological advancement to the majority of Earth’s remote places with extreme climate conditions, e.g. Canadian Arctic, Alaska, Antarctica, Greenland, the Russian Far East, Eastern-Siberian Taiga, etc. Workshop participants can learn more about technical, economic, environmental, social and regulatory aspects of a PV-wind-biomass renewable system with carbon capture storage. 2017 was a UK-Russia Year of Science led by the British Council and the Russian Ministry of Science and Education. This has brought a number of bilateral research programmes, funding calls and investment opportunities that to be thoroughly explored within the framework of the presentation.

Aysilu has 5+ years’ experience of sustainable industrial systems and biorenewable energy solutions, sustainability and climate change issues, process modelling and multicriteria optimization as well as 15+ years’ experience in project management and business development, finance and high-tech in public sector and oil & gas industry with experience Russia and CIS environmental laws and biorenewable policies.

Special Assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister, Principal Consultant on Bioenergy & Climate Change at the Government of Bashkortostan (oil-rich republic in Russia), Aysilu organized the first UKTI TRADE MISSION to the region to enhance global business collaboration and sociocultural exchange in liaison with the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.
