How can we keep London’s Tech Eco-system working?

4th June 2014

Free

London, and the UK, is a world-leading hub for the technology sector. Alongside international giants such as BT, EE and Vodafone there are an increasing number of high-growth start-ups and SMEs. From the latest Business to Business fin tech developers (based in Level 39) to consumer retailers such as Asos, London is a centre for excellence. This event will explore how we can future-proof this success by ensuring that our sector-leaders actively contribute to the growth of their smaller peers.

We will hear from:

Chet Patel, Managing Director of BT Wholesale Markets
Russ Shaw, Founder, Tech London Advocates
Paul Taylor, Personal and Business Technology Columnist, Financial Times
Howard Dawber, Canary Wharf Group
TBA, McKinsey & Company

Chaired by: John Dickie, Director of Strategy & Policy, London First

Objective
The objective of this event is to have an open discussion with leading London First members and their stakeholders covering the following topics:
  • What are the main challenges or gaps in London’s tech economy?
  • How future-proof is London’s success as a tech hub?
  • Is there a necessary policy (or government) intervention that will help?
  • Is there an infrastructure need?
