Level39 hosts first Health & Life Science Meet-up in Canary Wharf

On Wednesday 22 March, Level39 hosted it’s first Health & Life Science Meet-up in collaboration with parent company, Canary Wharf Group, alongside London & Partners and Kadans Science Partner.

The event brought together 120 + people, all with the common interest in the Health & Life Science space. We were joined by a brilliant panel of industry experts, including , Katerina Spranger, Founder and CEO,  Oxford Heartbeat, Jayesh Pankhania, CFO,  Congenica and Uzma Choudry PhD, Venture Capital Investor,  Octopus Ventures, who shared their insights on growth and investment in the sector.

This comes after the recent announcement that Canary Wharf Group, in partnership with Kadans Science Partner, plans to develop and build 800,000 sq ft. of commercial wet lab space (the largest in Europe), to create a world leading health and life sciences cluster at Canary Wharf. This June, we’ll also see the opening of the Kadans Innovation Centre at 20 Water Street, fully fitted private CL2 wet-lab & office accommodation with shared lab equipment facilities.

This is an exciting time to encourage and welcome more Med Tech and Life Science companies to Level39. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store, and the exciting opportunities and advancements which will arise from the new lab space.
