Daniele Longo

Daniele is an award-winning marketing and communication executive with nearly 20 years of global experience in large corporations and scale-up businesses across digital payments, banking, luxury retail and hospitality. Daniele is a contemporary dynamic leader with the ability to harmonise strategic business objectives and multiple stakeholders with critical thinking, creative sensibility and design, effective communication, performance management and technology solutions. He brings a relentless growth mindset and a collaborative attitude across organisations thanks to a unique blend of experiences across multiple geographies, industries and backgrounds which are giving him the ability to assess and anticipate market demands, craft and deliver robust strategies, launch relevant marketing innovation and impact growth.

Most recently, Daniele has been working as CMO for Cirdan Capital and for The Arts Club where he leveraged his global expertise to support investors and entrepreneurs to reposition their brands, upgrade their digital capabilities, improve their business model and create effective go to market strategies. Daniele has been engaged as business advisor to Harrods to help the business embracing digital growth, revitalise acquisition of new consumer groups and to leverage digital payment ecosystems with loyalty schemes and partnerships.

For over 10 years Daniele has been working in American Express covering various Management roles including Vice President for Global Brand Marketing and Communication with a wide remit and responsibilities spanning from creating and developing global marketing strategies on brand, communications, data insights, media planning and sponsorships, agencies management at a global level.

Earlier in his career he has worked as Director Business Development EMEA, focusing on premium card products distribution and partnerships with Private Banks, family offices and wealth managers targeting UHNWI consumer groups.  From 2008 to 2014 he was based in Italy where he served as market lead for Marketing, Communication, Digital and Partnership.  Before joining Amex, he held marketing and business roles with Harrods, Mediaset and the Italian Embassy in London.

Daniele is a passionate advocate of putting the human at the heart of an organisation’s strategy in order to deliver relevant innovation, real impact and ultimately sustainable business growth.  He is committed to encouraging an inclusive working environment through coaching and mentorship and he is an active ambassador of diversity understanding how diverse thinking and ideas positively impact the bottom line.

When not working, he will be improving his tennis, enjoying contemporary art and photography and, like all good Italians, finessing his cooking for his wife and family.
