John was founder, CEO and sole shareholder at the Late Escapes Group, the UK’s largest & most profitable direct sell travel company, before it was acquired by Thomas Cook. He has an MBA specialising in Business Strategy, International Marketing and Brand Strategy.
John has held various FTSE 100 company senior marketing roles, and was board director at D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, a top three global communications group acquired by Publicis.
Experience include: Business Strategy, Turnaround, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategic Marketing, Advertising, Public & Corporate Relations.
Advisory Board positions include Travel Trade Gazette (TTG Media) – the weekly magazine for the travel industry, including the news driven website TTGdigital.com.
John is results orientated, an effective communicator, has proven financial control, and high creative awareness. He has both online and traditional media marketing experience. John’s experience and business investments allow him to help fledgling companies to grow by adopting a relevant business and marketing strategy, with specific focus on customer needs and demands, thus creating a sustainable competitive advantage.
