Paul is a Financial Services Executive with over 30 years experience including Director level roles across Technology, Operations, and Digital Transformation. He is focused on culture, innovation and talent, consistently drawing on all of these to deliver the very best customer experience.
Paul spent much of his career at Lloyds Banking Group where he held Chief Information Officer roles for the Commercial Banking, Finance, Risk and Payments Divisions. From 2011 to 2014 he was the Group’s Application Development Director, leading a global delivery organisation with accountability for all software applications used throughout Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows. He was then appointed Operations Director for Commercial Banking – a role that encompassed all aspects of customer service from front line contact centres to back office operational processing.
His recent focus has been on driving and embedding digital transformation. He spent over two years leading a number of multi-skilled teams using agile methods to redesign and digitise key processes, transforming the end-to-end experience for the Bank’s business customers.
Paul has always been passionate about learning, development and helping individuals & teams fulfil their potential. He is known for sponsoring large scale IT apprenticeship schemes and for developing business talent management programmes with a particular emphasis on coaching and mentoring. He left Lloyds in March 2018 and is currently enjoying a short career break whilst continuing to focus on his mentoring activities.
