Vishnu Amble is a principal investor focused on strategic investments and technology-enabled innovation sourcing for E.On SE, one of the world’s largest utility companies based in Germany. E.On has a portfolio of strategic investments across Europe and North America.
Previously, he focused on South Asia and MENA growth capital equity investments for Dubai-based Abraaj Group, the Middle East’s largest private equity firm with over $8.0 billion in assets under management.
Prior to Abraaj, Vishnu was with The Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager with more than $140 billion under management, focusing on private equity investments, including buyout and growth equity, in companies in the software, software-enabled services, and semiconductor sectors globally.
Vishnu started his career with Lehman Brothers as an investment banker based in New York, London, and Asia, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory mandates for energy and power companies globally. He received his undergraduate degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Vishnu is also an experienced seed capital investor in technology-enabled start-ups in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
