Stephan Murer appointed Director and Senior Lecturer for the “Open banking and platforms” course by CFTE

Stephan Murer is appointed as a Director and Senior Lecturer for the “Open banking and platforms” course by CFTE. With 24 years of experience, he is an all-rounder in financial technologies.

Stephan Murer holds a Ph.D. in computer science from ETHZ and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen. He also has an academic track at the International Computer Science Institute at UC Berkeley. Currently, he is a visiting lecturer at the University of Oxford.  In 1994, he moved to Credit Suisse where he was a Chief Architect and a Managing Director to later become a Group Chief Technology Officer in UBS. In 2017, he established his company Murer Consulting GmbH, and now helps his clients as an external board member, technology strategy consultant and lecturer. 

Stephan was a senior lecturer on CFTE’s “AI in Finance” course and will contribute further to the “Open banking and platforms” course where he will cover topics such as: 
– APIs and services, 
– security, identity and access control,
– software development for open banking, 
– and operating open banking solutions.
