Adam Luk

Head of Finance

Adam is currently Head of Finance at Level39, Canary Wharf’s Innovation & Fintech Hub and has previously held roles at large multinational and blue-chip corporations.

Having joined Level39 in 2014, Adam has witnessed the growth of the start-up memberships from 30 companies to over 200 companies. During this period, he has witnessed over 600 companies scale up within the L39 community and ecosystem where the start ups raised a combined total of $2bn worth of funding.

Adam looks after the Financial Strategy for Level39 as the Head of Finance and works in conjunction with Level39’s parent company, The Canary Wharf Group exploring future growth strategies.

Prior to Level39 Adam spent four years working for a start-up based in the original tech hub, the Silicon Roundabout. Where he was part of the founding UK team which led to 3 founding rounds of growth and expansion within EMEA.

Adam started his formal accounting training in industry with G4S in 2007 and has accomplished ACMA status by 2010.

He brings with him a wealth of experience in both the life in start-ups and for large corporations.

Adam participates as a mentor for the Canary Wharf Graduate scheme and keen advocate for the training and development of future talent championing the Governments Apprenticeship Levy at the Canary Wharf Group. A keen advocate of the future of finance and the future of work whilst currently exploring on various digital financial transformation projects.

Furthermore, Adam was co-opted in June 2019 to CIMA Council, elected to UK Regional Advisory Panel in June 2020, has appeared and contributed to the FM Magazine, Facebook Live session with then President, Steve Swientozielskyj and has participated as a panellist for the AICPA’s Accelerator 2020 Program.
